About Neutral Hues Studio
Neutral Hues Studio was born from a lifelong love of creating meaningful, beautiful things and a belief that the smallest details often leave the biggest impression.
After years working in marketing across advertising, consumer packaged goods, energy, and most recently Calgary’s tourism and events industry, I found myself constantly drawn to the thoughtful details that shape how people experience a space, a brand, or a moment. In the corporate and event world, every touchpoint is intentional — from the visuals to the guest experience to the feeling people leave with. I began to notice how often that same level of care was missing from more personal celebrations.
At the same time, becoming a mother shifted the way I viewed gathering, hosting, and celebrating. I found myself slowing down and appreciating the beauty in thoughtful moments, handmade touches, and creating experiences that feel personal and memorable for the people we love most.
Neutral Hues Studio was created at the intersection of those experiences — blending creativity with strategy to help bring intentional, cohesive details into intimate celebrations.
From custom favors and guest gifting to hosting edits and DIY-led moments, the studio focuses on the details that are often overlooked, rushed, or left feeling generic. My goal is to help clients create gatherings that feel elevated, warm, and deeply personal without needing to overcomplicate the experience.
Because the most meaningful celebrations are rarely about perfection — they’re about how they make people feel.
“At Neutral Hues Studio, we don’t just
personalize items—we help design the experience.”
-Gisela MacPhail, Neutral Hues Studio Founder
What we prioritize
High-impact touches that elevate without requiring full-scale planning.
Supporting hosts who value aesthetics but don’t have the time to source and execute every element themselves.
Thoughtful refinement over mass-produced or overly templated elements.
